Rooney 'to gift wife 50k pounds diamond watch after child birth'

London, September 6 (ANI): Wayne Rooney has reportedly ordered a custom made 50,000-pound diamond-encrusted watch to gift to his wife Coleen when they welcome their first child together next month.

The footie ace was said to have also asked New York jewellers Jacob and Co, who made the pair's 1 million pound wedding rings, to engrave a personal message.

"Coleen is crazy about diamonds so that was key to the design of the watch. Wayne has spent weeks making sure it looks just right," News of the World quoted a source close to the pair as saying.

The source added: "Coleen is finding the last month of her pregnancy tough so Wayne wanted to get her an extra special gift."

The couple are expecting their child on October 24, when Rooney celebrates his birthday.

The source also said: "Wayne can't wait to see Coleen's reaction when he presents her with the watch." (ANI)
