Paris, May 28: The 'Indo-Pak Express' tennis doubles pair, Rohan Bopana and Aisam Ul-Haq Qureshi, entered the third round of French Open men's doubles after beating Argentine Maximo Gonzalez and Kei Nishikori of Japan.
The fifth seeded Rohan Bopana and Aisam Ul-Haq Qureshi won the match 6-7(4), 6-3, 6-4 in a two-hour and 17 minutes second round clash after losing the first set. The Indo-Pak Express, who won many hearts during their campaign at the 2010 US Open, fought back in the last two sets to sail to the third round.
In the third round, Bopanna and Qureshi will meet Andrey Golubev of Kazakisthan and Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan.
Making it a good day for Indians, Sania and Elena Vesnina of Russia defeated Kristina Barrois of Germany and Johanna Larsson of Sweden in the women's doubles event. The seventh seeded Sania and Elena defeated their opponents 7-6 (4) 6-3 in the second round match i just one hour and 42 minutes.
Sania and Elena will meet Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez and A Medina Garrigues of Spain in the third round match.
