Madrid, Jun10: Rafael Nadal is all set to fight his knee injury in order to defend his Wimbledon title in London. Following two days of medical tests in Barcelona, the top-ranked player on Tuesday, Jun 9 revealed that he has decided to go in for physical therapy to prepare for the tournament, which starts June 22.
"I am going to give my 200 per cent to be ready for the most important tournament in the world," Nadal said.
He added that he will not go out and play especially something as big as Wimbledon if he is not fully ready for the tournament.
"I have two difficult weeks ahead of me, especially because I won't be doing what I like doing most, which is to play tennis," the Spaniard said in a statement.
Nadal has skipped the Aegon Classic, the grass-court warmup event at Queen's Club. He admitted that the knee pain that he has been suffering from for months now has not only limited his physical movements but has also hampered him mentally.
