Serena Williams champions black women's cause

Serena Williams advocates equal pay for black women

Bengaluru, August 1: Across the world, July 31 has been celebrated as Black Women's Equal Pay Day. Reminder to a time when the world treated people differently based on their skin colour.

The movement received support from a super star - tennis player Serena Williams who posted a picture on her official twitter handle posing in a t-shirt labelled 'Phenomenal Woman'.

Serena is taking from the game as she's expecting her first child.

One of the finest players in the history of tennis, Serena has so far won 23 Grand Slams in her career that started in 2001.

She is currently ranked 15th in the world.
