AIBA had recently rejigged the new weight categories for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which will see Indian boxers in new weight catergories. This also means that the boxers around the world will have to recalibrate their game plan, their strategies to take on their opponents and to be more competitive in a higher division.





AIBA had recently rejigged the new weight categories for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which will see Indian boxers in new weight categories. This also means that the boxers around the world will have to recalibrate their game plan, their strategies to take on their opponents and to be more competitive in a higher division. While Amit Panghal, who won the Asian Games gold medal in 49 kg went to 52kg for the Asian Championship and clinched the gold medal, Shiva Thapa, who won the bronze medal in the 60kg division will now upgrade to 63 kg for the World Championship and the Olympic qualifiers.
