Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals: Arjun Tendulkar set for IPL debut?

Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar, is reportedly set to make his Indian Premier League debut for Mumbai Indians in their final IPL 2022 league match against Delhi Capitals. Here is all you need to know about Arjun.

Born on September 24, 1999, Arjun Tendulkar is a left-arm medium pacer by trade and also bats left-handed.
In his early days, Arjun had a stint at Marylebone Cricket Club Young Cricketers, where he took 10 wickets in 8 matches.
In 2018, Arjun represented India in Under-19 Youth Tests against Sri Lanka and ended up with 3 wickets in 2 matches.
Arjun also represented Mumbai at Under-14, Under-16 and Under-19 levels before making his senior debut.
Arjun made his debut for Mumbai domestic team in 2021 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
In his two matches for Mumbai in 2021 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Arjun took two wickets – a wicket each vs Pondicherry and vs Haryana.
His first wicket in domestic circuit was of Haryana’s Chaitanya Bishnoi and the second was Fabid Ahmed of Pondicherry.
Following his first senior stint, Arjun was picked up for base price of Rs 20 Lakh by Mumbai Indians at the 2021 auctions. But did not get a look in.
At the IPL 2022 mega auction, Mumbai Indians beat Gujarat Titans with Rs 30 Lakh bid to bring back Arjun to the franchise.
Arjun Tendulkar, who bowls at an average pace of 135-137kmph, may finally play his first IPL match vs Delhi Capitals on May 21.
