Hockey World Cup 2023: Venues, Teams, Opening Ceremony

The Hockey WC 2023 starts from January 13 and will continue till January 29.

Two Indian cities are hosting the tournament. Bhubaneshwar and Rourkela are the venues.

16 teams are participating in this edition of the World Cup, divided into 4 pools.

Team India

India will be led by Harmanpreet Singh, who is also the highest scorer of the team with 126 goals. Australian Graham Reid is the head coach of the Indian team.

Opening Ceremony

Bollywood Artist Ranveer Singh was present in the opening ceremony.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik were present in the ceremony.

Black Swan

Global girl musical group BLACKSWAN also performed at the opening ceremony at the Barabati Stadium.
