IPL 2022: Rashid Khan late show seals 5-wicket win for GT vs SRH

Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia stole the show from Umran Malik to take Gujarat Titans to the top of the IPL 2022 following a 5-wicket win against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Here is how GT vs SRH panned out.
Despite the last 5 matches at the venue ending in favour of the team batting first, GT skipper Hardik Pandya chose to bowl first, trusting his batters to chase down a target.
Mohammed Shami removed Kane Williamson and Rahul Tripathi inside the powerplay with 44 runs on the board.
Abhishek Sharma scored his second fifty of the season and shared a 96-run stand with Aiden Markram to take SRH to a healthy position.
Alzarri Joseph dismissed Abhishek Sharma for 65 to bring GT back in the contest, but Markram ensured the run flow with his third fifty of the season. However, a flurry of wickets put SRH in a spot of bother.
Shashank Singh scored an unbeaten 25 off 6 balls to take SRH to 195/6 in 20 overs.
Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha started the run chase of 196 well for GT, scoring 68 in 7 overs.
Umran Malik got the breakthrough, cleaning up Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya in quick succession.
Saha kept the run chase alive with 68 off 38 balls before being dismissed by Umran Malik.
Umran Malik removed David Miller and Abhinav Manohar to complete his first five-wicket haul.
Just when GT were at the brink of defeat, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan showed some fight to take the match deep.
Needing 22 runs to win of the final over, Tewatia struck one six, while Rashid hit 3 sixes to take GT over the line in a last-ball thriller.
