Selectors on Monday (Sep 12) announced India's Test squad for the upcoming series against New Zealand and once again sidelined the senior cricketer's consistently better performance in the domestic circuit.
But the left-handed batsman from Delhi hasn't lost hope of playing again for India and instead has vowed to fight with his good performance.
(Fans irked with BCCI for ignoring Gambhir)
Gambhir, who is captaining India Blue side in the ongoing Duleep Trophy, took to Twitter to express his disappointment but also said he'll continue fighting.
The Delhi batsman tweeted, "I'm disappointed but not defeated; I'm cornered but not a coward. Grit my partner, courage my pride...for, I must fight, I must fight..."

The senior opener slammed four back-to-back half centuries in the Duleep Trophy. But, his performance was ignored as the selectors chose to give skipper Virat Kohli a settled squad, which has returned home after winning the Test series 2-0 against West Indies.
Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment after Gambhir was ignored and out-of-form Shikhar Dhawan was picked by the selectors.
