New Delhi, Aug 23: Tottenham Hotspur attacker Dele Alli has suggested teammate Christian Eriksen is as good as a "magician" and it is fun playing alongside him.

Eriksen has slowly established himself as one of all rounder midfielders in the Premier League since his move from Ajax in 2013 and even won Spurs player of the year twice in 2014 and 2016.

The Danish playmaker also started his new season on style and has already registered three assists to his name and one of it is to teammate Dele Alli.

Eriksen helped to score the only goal from their 2-1 London defeat against Chelsea on Sunday as he flogged in the free-kick from which Chelsea attacker Michy Batshuayi headed home an early goal.

And chatting ahead of the match, Alli heaped praise on the playmaker and said: "He's an unbelievable player with fantastic technique, he's a bit of a magician," he said, as reported by the Evening Standard.

"You just know that as soon as he puts his head down to deliver the ball he's going to put it where he wants it to go, so it's down to you to make sure you get into the right position.

"Christian's technique is so good, the ball will go exactly where he sees the space, so if you make sure you attack it at the right time then you're going to get chances at goal.

"He's got a lot more to his game as well, he's got a great strike on him, keeps the ball moving all the time and is a fantastic player.

"It's a pleasure to play alongside him."

Eriksen has till now created as many as 382 chances in the Spurs shirt with only Mesut Ozil (400) of Arsenal producing more and he was was the second most assist maker last season as he helped in 15 goals just behind Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne who registered 18 assists.
