Abdul Latif Romly Biography

He made his debut for Malaysia at the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, DPR Korea. His dedication to athletics saw him compete in non-Para events as well, including the 100m at the 2020 Perak All-Comers event in Malaysia.

Throughout his career, he faced several injuries. In early 2019, he sustained a left knee injury, missing several national events. He returned to competition in May 2019 at the Thailand Open Track and Field Championships. At the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, he suffered a groin injury. In 2023, he sustained a thigh injury.

At the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, he became the first Malaysian to win two Paralympic gold medals by triumphing in the men's T20 long jump. He had previously won gold in the same event at the 2016 Games. His achievements have earned him numerous accolades.
