Scortys, an accomplished athlete and dentist, has made significant strides in Para swimming. She began swimming at age four in Rome, Italy. By age 17, she decided to compete in Para swimming. Initially, she did not gain an impairment classification but was later assisted by coach Daniele Naldi.

Her current coaches are Riccardo Vernole, the national coach, and Sandro Signori. Scortys credits her success to her coach Mara Grelloni, who has been a significant influence on her career. Her partner, Riccardo Menciotti, is also a Para swimmer who has represented Italy and won bronze at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
Outside of swimming, Scortys enjoys shopping. She speaks English, French, and Italian fluently. She has worked as a dental technician in Italy. Her sporting hero is Italian swimmer Federica Pellegrini. Scortys believes that sport has given her confidence and helped her accept her disability.
In December 2017, she received the Golden Necklace for Sports Merit from the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). This award recognises her contributions and achievements in sports.
Looking ahead, Scortys aims to compete at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris. This goal reflects her dedication to the sport and her desire to continue representing Italy on the international stage.
