Anna Hontar Biography

Anya made her debut for Ukraine at the 2018 European Championships in Dublin, Ireland. This marked the beginning of her professional career. Under the guidance of her personal coach, Mykola Ilin, she has honed her skills and achieved remarkable milestones since 2015.

In addition to her swimming career, Anya is a dedicated student. She is pursuing studies in Language Studies, Literature, and Physical Education at Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University in Mykolayiv, Ukraine. She is fluent in English, German, Russian, and Ukrainian.

Anya's hard work and dedication have earned her several accolades. She was named Para Athlete of the Year for 2023 in Mykolayiv, Ukraine. In recognition of her bronze medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, she received the Order of Princess Olga [third class] in Ukraine. Additionally, she holds the title of Master of Sport of International Class in Ukraine.
