250 players for Kerala Junior Badminton tourney

Kozhikode, Aug 9 (UNI) Internationals Ram C Vijay, P C Tulasi, H S Pranoy and Daya Elsa Jacob are among the 250 players expected to participate in the Sixth Savithridevi Saboo Memorial Kerala Junior Badminton (Shuttle) Tournament beginning here on August 10.

Based on 21-point best of three norm, the three-day event will have separate competitions for boys and girls in singles and doubles under 10, 13, 16, 19 age categories, Genenal Convenor G Rajarajeswari told reporters here today.

Toppers from the tournament would be considered for inclusion into the team representing the state in the South Zone National Badminton Tournaments, she added.
