PV Sindhu as well as doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be among the Indian shuttlers who open their All England Open Badminton Championships 2025 in Birmingham on Wednesday (March 12).
Two-time Olympic medallist and former world champion Sindhu will face Kim Ga-eun of South Korea in the women's singles opener. This will be the second match between the duo. In the previous meeting, Sindhu beat the Korean 21-15, 21-16 at the 2019 Hong Kong Open.

Seventh seeds Satwik-Chirag, on the other hand, will begin their men's doubles campaign at the BWF Super 1000 tournament against Denmark duo of Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard.
The top Indian men's doubles pair trails 0-1 against the Danish team, having lost to Lundgaard and Vestergaard in the 2024 Singapore Open by a scoreline of 20-22, 18-21 in the opening round.
Apart from Sindhu and Rankireddy-Shetty pair, women's doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand as well as mixed doubles duo of Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila as well as Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde will also start their campaigns on Wednesday (March 12).
Treesa and Gayatri will take on Chinese Taipei duo Sung Shuo-yun and Yu Chien-hui in the women's doubles opener. Jolly-Gopichand lost their only meeting with the Taiwanese pair in the Malaysia Masters 2024 by a scoreline of 18-21, 22-20, 14-21.
In mixed doubles, Dhruv and Tanisha kick start their campaign against Ruttanapak Oupthong and Jhenicha Sudjaipraparat of Thailand, while Rohan and Rutvika face Chinese Taipei's Ye Hong-wei and Nicole Gonzales Chan in their tournament opener.
