Top Indian shuttlers will continue their action in the European leg of 2025 BWF World Tour this week at the 117th edition of All England Open Badminton Championships, which is set to take place at the Arena Birmingham in Birmingham.
The BWF Super 1000 tournament will start with the first round matches on Tuesday (March 11) and Wednesday (March 12) followed by the second round, quarter-final and semi-final on the subsequent days before the all important final on Sunday (March 16).

The Yonex All England Open 2025 will feature a total of 64 singles competitors and 96 teams including world champions and Olympic champions. So far only two Indians have won the All England Open since it started in 1899.
Only Pullela Gopichand (2001) and Prakash Padukone (1980) have won the title at the All England Open so far with both the greats of the Indian badminton winning the men's singles competition.
This year's Indian contingent of 4 singles shuttlers and 7 doubles teams including the top men’s pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty as well as the country’s top women’s singles star PV Sindhu will look to add to the tally.
Malvika Bansod, HS Prannoy and Lakshya make up the four Indians in singles competition, while men’s doubles teams will feature, Satwik-Chirag, the women’s teams include Tanisha Crasto-Ashwini Ponnappa, Priya Konjengbam-Shruti Mishra, and Treesa Jolly-Gayathri Gopichand.
Crasto will team up with Dhruv Kapila to form one of the three mixed doubles pair from the country. Sathish Kumar Karunakaran-Aadya Variyath and Rohan Kapoor-Ruthvika Shivani Gadde will be the other two teams representing India in the mixed doubles competition. Satwik-Chirag pair is the only Indians to be seeded at the All England Open Badminton Championships 2025, where the likes of An Se Young and Shi Yu Qi will be among many other singles top seeds to participate in the tournament.
