Copenhagen, August 25: Top Indian shuttlers HS Prannoy and doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty will be in quarter-final action at the BWF World Championships 2023 on Friday (August 25) at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Rankireddy and Shetty defeated Indonesian pair Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin 21-15, 19-21, 21-9 in the round of 16 match, while Prannoy saw off former World Champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore 21-18, 15-21, 21-19 in the men's singles pre-quarters.

In men's singles, eighth-seeded Prannoy will take on top seed and defending champions Viktor Axelsen of Denmark in the last eight. This will be Prannoy's tenth meeting with Axelsen, who holds a 7-2 record in the previous head-to-head matches with the ninth seeded Indian.
