Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand are the sole Indian representatives at the BWF World Tour Finals 2024, which is scheduled to be held from December 11 to December 15 at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China.
The seventh edition of the BWF World Tour Finals, organized by the Chinese Badminton Association, will see the top eight ranked singles players and doubles teams do battle with a limit of two from each national member association.

The 2024 BWF World Tour Finals will be a four-day event, starting with the group stages that will see the eight players or teams divided into two groups, which will face off each member or team of their respective groups from December 11-13.
The top two from each group across categories - men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles - will then progress to the semifinal, which is scheduled to be held on December 14 with the finals taking place on December 15.
Treesa-Gayatri were the only Indians eligible for the event in 2024 after the pair finished 13th on the BWF ranking and earned their spots after China and South Korea players ranked above them failed to make the cut due to the restriction of two representatives in each category from every competing nation.
The Indian duo have been drawn in Group A alongside the top seed Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning of China as well as fourth seeds Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan, and the Japanese duo of Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida.
