Course for badminton coaches from Asian region begins
Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) A three-week advanced Level-II course for Coaches from the Asian region began at the Tata Padukone Badminton Academy here today.
In all, 16 coaches from nine countries -- Malaysia, Laos, Syria, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, the Philippines, Nepal and Iraq -- were attending the course, organised on behalf of the Badminton Asia Confederation, Academy Director Prakash Padukone said in a release here.
Former National Coach Vimal Kumar and top Korean Coach Kim Young Mun would be incharge of the course and they would be assisted by Vinod U Beedu (Physical Conditioning), Elvis Goes (Training) and Mamta Mishra (Dietician), the release said.
Last year, the Academy had conducted a similar course for Level-I coaches from the same region.
