CRSB badminton from tomorrow

Lucknow, Jan 18 (UNI) The two-day All India Central Revenue Sports Board (CRSB) Invitation Badminton championship will start here tomorrow at K D Singh Babu Stadium.

Giving this information, Chief commissioner and convenor CRSB Vinod Kumar said 46 shuttlers, including 22 from other parts of the country, would participate in the two-day event.

The championship would be held under men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, veteran's singles and veterans doubles categories.

Mr Kumar said the national level championship was allotted on rotation basis between Income tax and Central Excise departments and this year it was their turn to hold the prestigious event.

''We have a number of reputed sportspersons in our fold, who represented India in various disciples of the games,'' he said.

The tournament will be inaugurated by D P Pant, chief commissioner, Income tax Kanpur.
