Indore, Nov 14: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone considered her father Prakash Padukone, former badminton ace for the Bharat Ratna award.

The model-turned actress said that her father should be selected for the Bharat Ratna award. She has joined the league of people who demand the award for the famous personalities.

"As a daughter, I want my father to be honoured with the title of Bharat Ratna, considering his contribution to badminton throughout his career," said Deepika and added that her father was the first person to win the All England Championship and popularised the sport in India.
