India's top women's singles shuttler PV Sindhu will be in Denmark Open 2024 quarter-final action against Indonesia's Gregoria Mariska Tunjung on Friday (October 18) at the Arena Fyn in Odense, Denmark.
The two-time Olympic medallist registered a come-from-behind win over fourth seed Han Yue of China to seal the last eight spot on Thursday (October 17). The former world champion dropped the opening game before fighting back to see off the Chinese shuttler 18-21 21-12 21-16 in 63 minutes.

Earlier in the women's singles first round, Sindhu, who returned to the court for the first time since the Paris Olympics 2024, eased past Chinese Taipei's Pai Yu-po, who was forced to retire midway through the match with the scoreline reading 21-8, 13-7 (retired) in favour of the Indian.
Fifth seed Tunjung, on the other hand, defeated Denmark's own Mia Bilchfeldt in straight games 21-10, 22-20 in the second round after overcoming another Dane, Line Kjærsfeldt in the opening round by a scoreline of 21-18, 18-21, 21-11.
