First two state junior badminton tourneys in Mumbai
Mumbai, Jun 19 (UNI) North India Association and the Indian Gymkhana at King's Circle will be hosting the first two Maharashtra State junior Open badminton tournaments from next week.
The first one at the North India Association will be held from June 28 to July 1, followed by the Indian Gymkhana's from July five to eight, a release issued here today stated.
Top shuttlers of the coutry are expected to participate in these tourneys.
The state calendar is as follows: June 28 July 1 : 1st State Junior Open (North India Association, King's Circle); July 5 8: 2nd State Junior Open (Indian Gymkhana); July 14- 8: 1st State senior selection (Nanded); July 24 28: State Open (Vanita Samaj, Dadar); July 29 Aug. 7: All District Inter-Schools;.
Aug 8-12: State Open (Rotary Club of Mulund); Aug 20-25: Jr Inter-dist. and State championships (Pune); Aug 29-Sep 1: 1st state senior selection (MIG, Bandra); Sept 9-13: 2nd State jr. selection (Jalgaon); Sept 18-22: Sr. Inter-dist. and State championships (Kolhapur).
Sept 22- 25: Kotnis Memorial Open (Karad); Sept 27-29: West Zone Inter-State (Valsad-Gujarat).
