India's top singles star PV Sindhu and doubles stars Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty as well as rising shuttler Kiran George will all be in quarter-final action at the India Open 2025 badminton tournament on Friday (January 17).
Two-time Olympic medallist Sindhu will take on fourth seed and Paris Olympics bronze winner Gregoria Mariska Tunjung of Indonesia in the women's singles last eight match after easing past Manami Suizu in the second round on Thursday (January 16).

The Indonesian Tunjung, on the other hand, overcame another Japanese shuttler Japanese Natsuki Nadaira to book her fourteenth meeting with the Indian former world champion, who has a 10-3 head to head advantage.
Elsewhere, the seventh seeded Indian duo of Satwik-Chirag fought back from a game down to against Japanese pair Kenya Mitsuhashi and Hiroki Okamura to seal their quarter-final meeting against South Korean pair Kang Min-hyuk and Jin Yong.
Kiran George, meanwhile, saved six game points enroute to knocking out France's Alex Lanier to book a last eight meeting with China's Hong Yang Weng. As the Indian shuttlers aim for a semifinal berth, here is a look at the India Open 2025 Quarter-final details:
The India Open 2025 is being played at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall in New Delhi, India from January 14 with the quarter-final scheduled to be staged on Friday (January 17) across three courts.
The quarter-final matches will be played in two sessions with the morning session starting at 12 PM IST Local Time on Courts 1 and 2, while action begins on Court 3 from 1 PM IST for two matches.
Sindhu's next match is seventh in the order of play on Court 1 and is expected to start after a men's doubles last eight match featuring South Korea's Seo Seun Jae/Kim Won Ho vs China's second seeds Liang Weikeng/Wang Chang. So, the match should approximately start around 5 PM IST.
George's next match is scheduled as match 8 on court 1 in the order of play after Sindhu's last eight match. So, the match should approximately start around 5:50 PM IST.
Satwik-Chirag next match will take place after Kiran George's match. The men's doubles quarter-finals is scheduled as match 9 on court 1 in the order of play and is expected to start approximately around 6:40 PM IST.
