Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 22: Shuttlers from 30 states will vie for honours in the 32nd Junior National Badminton Championship, which began here today. Badminton Association of India (BAI) Joint Secretary K Punnaiah Choudary today said the tournament was being played on five wooden courts.
The inter-state matches would be held today, while the open events start on December 24, he added.

For the first time, medical examination was being conducted for the players to determine the exact age.
