Yeosu, July 22: India's Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang of China in the Korea Open 2023 men's doubles semi-final at the Yeosu City Hall in Yeosu, South Korea on Saturday (July 22).
The Asian Champions progressed to the semi-final after overcoming fifth seeds from Japan, Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi in the quarter-final on Friday (July 21). The Indian pair defeated the Japanese duo by straight games 21-14-21-17 in the last 8 match that lasted for 40 minutes.

In the earlier rounds, the third seeded Indian duo eased past Thailand pair Supak Jomkoh and Kittinupong Kedren by straight games 21-16, 21-14 in the first round before another straight games win over Chinese pair He Ji Ting and Zhou Hao Dong by a scoreline of 21-17, 21-15.
Wei Keng-Chang, on the other hand, eased past Korea's Kim Young Hyuk and Wang Chan in the other quarter-final to reach semi-final. The second-seeded pair defeated the unseeded Korean opponents 21-10, 21-14 in the last eight match that lasted for just 23 minutes.
Earlier, the Chinese pair overcame Japanese duo of Ayato Endo and Yuta Takei in straight game 21-15, 21-18 before receiving a walkover in the second round from Chinese Taipei pair Lee Jhe-huei and Yang Po-hsuan.
Now, the Indian pair will face opponents they have met two times so far in the form of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang. The Chinese pair hold a 2-0 advantage over the Indian pair in the head-to-head battles.
