Lakshya Sen will be fighting to add another medal to India's tally at the Paris Olympics 2024 when the Indian shuttler faces Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia in the men's singles bronze medal match on Monday (August 5).
Sen created history by becoming the first Indian men's shuttler to cross the quarter-final stage in Olympics following a come-from-behind victory over Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in the round of 16. The youngster, however, failed to reach the gold medal match.

The 22-year-old from Almora, who had briefly led in both games, went down fighting against defending Olympic champion and world number 2 Viktor Axelsen of Denmark in straight games 20-22, 14-21 in the semi-final on Sunday (August 4).
The 22-year-old Sen could still become the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal in the men's event. But standing in his way will be world No. 7 Zii Jia, who suffered a loss to Thailand's Kunvalut Vitidsarn in the other semi-final.
The Malaysian lost 14-21, 15-21 to the Thai shuttler. Lee now faces a tougher challenge in the bronze medal match as he faces Sen, who has a 4-1 advantage in the head to head battle including a win at the All England Open earlier this year. Here is a look at their previous head to head records:
In five meetings between the two shuttlers, India's Sen has won four matches against Lee, who won his solitary match in 2022. Sen had also beaten Lee at junior level back in 2016. Here is a look at their detailed results:
