India's leading men's and women's singles shuttlers Prannoy HS, Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu entered the quarterfinals at the ongoing Malaysia Masters 2023 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (May 25).
Continuing his brilliant run in the BWF World Tour Super 500 event, Prannoy defeated All England champion Li Shi Feng of China with a superb come-from-behind victory by 13-21, 21-16, 21-11 in Round of 16.

Prannoy, who had earlier upset sixth seed Chou Tien-chen of Chinese Taipei in the opening round on Wednesday (May 24), will next face Japan's Kenta Nishimoto in the last-8 round on Friday (May 26).
Double Olympic medallist Sindhu comfortably got the better of Aya Ohori of Japan 21-16, 21-11 in 40 minutes in pre-quarters and will lock horns against China's Zhang Yi Man to book a spot in the semifinals.
Srikanth, meanwhile, got the better of world no. 5 Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand in straight games 21-19, 21-19 in Round of 16 match to join Prannoy and Sindhu in the quarterfinals. He will face Indonesia's Christian Adinata in last-8 clash on Friday (May 26).
While the singles trio moved into the last 8, another men's singles shuttler crashed out as Lakshya Sen lost in straight games to NG Ka Long Angus of Hong Kong by 14-21, 19-21 in the second round match.
