Top Indian doubles shuttlers Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on China's top seeded Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang in the Malaysia Open 2024 final on Sunday (January 14) at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Second-seeded Indian duo Rankireddy and Shetty defeated world champions and sixth seeded Korean pair Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seung Jae in straight games 21-18, 22-20 in the semi-final that last 47 minutes to book their final berth.

The top seeds Liang and Wang, on the other hand, ousted seventh seeded Japanese pair Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi by a scoreline of 21-12, 19-21, 21-13 in the second semi-final that went on for 50 minutes to reach the summit clash.
This will be Rankireddy and Shetty's fifth meeting as a pair against the Chinese pair Liang and Wang. In the four previous meetings, the pair from China, who beat Satwik-Chirag in last year's Malaysia Open semi-final, hold a 3-1 advantage over the Indian duo.
