With the Paris Olympic qualification at stake, top Indian shuttlers will begin their 2024 action in the BWF World Tour Asian leg, starting with Malaysia Open, which is set to be held at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Tuesday (January 9).
The Malaysia Open will start with the first round matches on January 10 and January 11 followed by second round, quarterfinals, semifinal on subsequent days with the tournament set to conclude with the finals on Sunday (January 14).

A total of 64 singles players and 96 doubles teams from across the globe, including as many as 4 singles players and 4 doubles pairs from India will be in action at the 67th edition of the tournament that was founded in 1973. The Indian contingent will hope to land their first title at the event.
Lakshya Sen, Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy and Akarshi Kashyap will be among the singles shuttlers representing India at the Malaysia Open 2024. The event will also see the likes of Victor Axelsen and An Se Young, the singles top seeds, among others in action.
The doubles contingent from the country will see Satwiksairaj Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty pair alongside Dhruv Kapila & MR Arjun, Rutaparna Panda & Swetaparna Panda, and Tanisha Crasto & Ashwini Ponnappa battling across the men's and women's doubles categories.
