India's Lakshya Sen will lock horns with Tokyo 2020 gold medallist Viktor Axelsen of Denmark in the Paris Olympics 2024 men's singles badminton semi-final at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena in La Chapelle, France.
In his first Olympic appearance, Sen created history by becoming the first Indian men's singles shuttler to reach the last four after he fought back from a game down to beat Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen by a scoreline of 19-21, 21-15, 21-12 in the quarterfinal.

Earlier, the 22-year-old from India had got past his compatriot HS Prannoy by straight games in the round of 16 after registering three more straight sets wins to top Group L in the group stage of the men's singles competition.
Axelsen, meanwhile, in his quest for a third successive Olympic medal, eased past Singapore's Loh Kean Yew in straight games 21-9, 21-17 in the last eight to seal his semi-final berth in Paris.
The Dane world number 2 had received a bye in the round of 16. In the group stage also the former Olympic champion had registered straight games victories to top Group P. He, however, will be aware of a big test against Sen despite holding a 7-1 record in the head to head battles.
Apart from Sen vs Axelsen semi-final, the other last four clash in men's singles also will be held on the same day as Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn takes on Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia. The winners of the semi-final will clash in the gold medal match, while the losers will battle for bronze.
