PV Sindhu Wedding: "When Love Beckons..." - Ace Indian Shuttler Reveals Picture of Engagement

Ace India shuttler and two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu on Saturday (December 14) got engaged to Venkata Datta Sai in what looked like a private ceremony ahead of their special date.

Sindhu, who is set to tie the knot with Hyderabad-based Venkata on December 22 in Udaipur, took to social media to share an adorable photo of her engagement ceremony with the picture since going viral.

In a heartwarming photo, which had 'Miss to Mrs' on a board in the backdrop, Sindhu also wrote, "When love beckons to you, follow him, for love gives naught but itself." - Kahlil Gibran in her Instagram post post with hashtags #datsinsync and #ikyk, meaning Datta Sindu Sync and In case you, you know.

Sindhu's wedding with Venkata, who is an executive director at Posidex Technologies, was announced soon after the former world champion ended a long title drought with victory at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow last month. The wedding-related events are set to begin from December 20 onwards.

"The two families knew each other but it was only a month ago that everything was finalised. This was the only possible window as her schedule will be hectic from January," Sindhu's father, PV Ramana had earlier told news agency PTI.

"So that is the reason the two families decided to have the marriage ceremony on December 22. The reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24. She will start her training soon after as the next season is going to be important."

Sindhu and Venkata have been busy for the past few days, inviting people for their big day. And among the invitees were Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. The soon-to-be weds also invited Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for their wedding ceremony. The wedding festivities are reportedly expected to go on till December 24.
