Hyderabad, Aug 12: India's ace shuttler Saina Nehwal who beat the Swine flu and Terrorist scare along with defeating the Chicken pox to enter the World Badminton Championship (WBC) has now emerged victorious in the Round 2 of the championship.

Saina Nehwal beat Anatasia Prokopenko 21-10, 21-17 on Wednesday, Aug 12. The Indian shuttler defeated her Russian opponent with ease to march on to Round 3 of the championship.

Saina now stands 6th in the World Badminton rankings.

Saina's practice sessions for the tournament were affected when she was down with Chicken pox sometime ago. However, the youngster coached by former world champ, P Gopichand still manages to perform brilliantly.

The championship was also believed to be a target of LeT terrorists according to Intelligence inputs. Following this, the England team pulled out of the championship.
