Saina aims to be in top 5 by 2010

By Super Admin

Hyderabad, Jan 29: Saina Nehwal, India's ace shuttler said that she aims to be among the top 5 by 2010.

She added that since she need more experience in the international level, she has now revised her target from being the number one to just breaking into the elite top 5 bracket by 2010. "Right now, I am doing well and I am satisfied with my performance in the international tournaments. But I need more experience. Playing in different tournaments will be important," the 18-year-old said.

Saina is currently undergoing training under her coach and former All England champion P Gopichand at his academy in Hyderabad. The world no 10 does not feel the need to get training abroad. When asked about this she said, "I think training in India is as good as training elsewhere as we have the best of facilities (in India)."

She said that though the coming World Badminton Championship is happening in Hyderbad, which is her home time, she would not take advantage of it and will take the event seriously.
