Hong Kong, Nov 21: India's ace shuttler Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Hong Kong Open today after she lost her quarter-finals match.
Saina, who won the China Open Super Series on Sunday (November 16), was beaten 15-21, 19-21 by Chinese Taipei's 6th seeded Tai Tzu Ying on Friday at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Kowloon.
The Indian, who is seeded 3rd, lost to her opponent in 39 minutes. Saina is world number 4 while Ying is ranked 9th in the world. Saina had held a 5-2 advantage over Ying before today but could not extend that domination.
Later today, Kidambi Srikanth will be in action in the men's singles quarter-finals.
