Sindhu storms into quarterfinals

Sindhu enters last eight of the Hong Kong Open with easy win

New Delhi, November 23: Olympic silver medalist P V Sindhu, the second seed, defeated Japan's Aya Ohori 21-14, 21-17 in the second round to enter the quarterfinals of the Hong Kong Super Series on Thursday (November 23).

Sindhu is now may face the China Open winner Akane Yamaguchi on Friday (November 24).

Earlier, Sindhu had defeated Hong Kong's Leung Yuet Yee 21-18, 21-10 in the opening round of the $400,000 Hong Kong Super Series.

In another match, ace shuttler Saina Nehwal will take on Chen Yufei of China.

In the men's singles, HS Prannoy will face Kuzumsa Kakai of Japan.
