Indian shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth, Priyanshu Rajawat, Kiran George and doubles pair of Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand will be in Swiss Open 2024 quarter-final action on Friday (March 22) at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland.
In men's singles, Srikanth defeated top seed Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia by a scoreline of 21-16, 21-15 to reach the last eight, while Rajawat also breezed past China's Lei Lan Xi by a scoreline of 21-14, 21-13 to book a quarter-final berth.

Kiran George, on the other hand, fought back from a game down to defeat France's Alex Lanier by a scoreline of 18-21, 22-20, 21-18 to progress to the last eight in the men's singles.
In women's doubles, eighth seeds Jolly and Gopichand eased past compatriots Priya Konjengbam & Shruti Mishra in straight games by a scoreline of 21-10, 21-12 to advance to the final eight.
Now, Srikanth will face Chinese Taipei's Lee Chia-hao in the men's singles quarter-final. This will be the third meeting between the pair. Srikanth is yet to win against Lee, having lost the previous two meetings against the Chinese Taipei shuttler.
Meanwhile, Rajawat will face fifth seed from Chinese Taipei Chou Tien-chen in the last eight, marking their first-ever match, Similarly, George is also set for a first time clash against Denmark's Rasmus Gemke.
