Two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu breezed past compatriot Unnati to the reach the women's singles final in the ongoing Syed Modi India International 2024 at the Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday (November 30).
Sindhu, the top seed here, secured an easy straight games win over the fellow Indian by a scoreline of 21-12 21-9 in in the first women's singles semifinal that lasted just 36 minutes.

Sindhu will next take on Luo Yu Wu of China in the title clash on Sunday (December 1). The top Indian women's singles shuttler will be joined by several other shuttlers from the country in the finals at the Syed Modi International Super 300 badminton tournament.
Earlier on Saturday (November 30), India's mixed doubles pair of Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila sailed into the final with a straight-game win over Chinese duo of Zhi Hong Zhou and Jia Yi Yang.
The fifth seeded Indians beat fourth seeded Chinese opponents 21-16 21-15 in the semifinal, that lasted 42 minutes. They will next play the sixth seeded Thailand pair of Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Supissara Paewsampran in the mixed doubles final.
Also, in the all-Indian men's doubles semifinal, the combination of Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy and Sai Pratheek K got the better of compatriots Ishaan Bhatnagar and Sankar Prasad Udayakumar in three-game thriller.
Pruthvi and Sai Pratheek, who took the first game, registered a 21-15, 17-21, 21-16 win against Ishaan-Sankar pair in the men's doubles semi-final that lasted 55 minutes. The Indian duo will next face the winner of an all-China semi-final between Huang Di-Liu Yang and Sun Wenjun-Zhu Yijun in the final.
Later, women's doubles pair of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, seeded second, fought back from a game down to see off third seeds Benyapa Aimsaard and Nuntakarn Aimsaard of Thailand by a scoreline of 18-21, 21-18, 21-10 in the semifinals.
Treesa-Gayatri pair could have gone up against their compatriots in the title clash. But the top seeded women's doubles team of Tanisha Craston and Ashwini Ponnappa went down fighting against Li Jing Bao and Qian Li of China by a scoreline of 21-14, 16-21, 13-21.
Priyanshu Rajawat failed in his quest to reach the men's singles final after going down in straight games to fourth seed Jason Teh of Singapore by a scoreline of 13-21, 19-21 in the semi-final match that lasted 48 minuts on on Saturday (November 30).
However, star men's singles player Lakshya Sen kept India's challenge alive in the men's singles competition after easing past Japan's Shogo Ogawa by a scoreline of 21-8, 21-14 in the other semifinals. Sen will next face Teh in the final.
