Continuing their remarkable performances, young Indian shuttler Maisnam Meiraba Luwang and the star men's doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Thailand Open Super 500 tournament.

Just a day after his notable victory over compatriot HS Prannoy, the 21-year-old Meiraba exhibited skill and determination to eliminate Denmark's Mads Christophersen in a gripping second-round clash of the men's singles category. The match, lasting 50 minutes, saw Meiraba clinch victory with scores of 21-14 and 22-20.

Meiraba, who boasts titles from the Iran Fajr International and India International tournaments in 2022, faces a stern challenge in his next encounter against local hero Kunlavut Vitidsarn, the reigning world champion.

In the men's doubles segment, the formidable Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty continued their dominant run. Ranked third globally, they convincingly defeated Xie Sao Nan and Zeng Wei Han of China with scores of 21-16 and 21-11, securing their spot in the quarterfinals. Up next, they are set to take on Malaysia's Junaidi Arif and Roy King Yap.

While the men's contingent showcased stellar performances, the women's singles category witnessed Ashmita Chaliha's valiant effort. Despite her relentless fight, Chaliha faced a narrow defeat against top-seeded Chinese player Han Yue, with scores of 15-21, 21-12, and 12-21.

In the mixed doubles event, India's Sathish Karunakaran and Aadya Variyath faced tough competition from Rinov Rivaldy and Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, eventually bowing out of the competition with scores of 10-21 and 17-21.
