Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu Set to Get Married in December in Udaipur

India's badminton icon and two-time Olympic medalist, PV Sindhu, is set to begin a new chapter in her life. As per a Sportstar report, the 29-year-old shuttler will tie the knot with Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai on December 22 in Udaipur.

Sai is the Executive Director of Posidex Technologies. Wedding ceremonies will commence on December 20, while the reception is scheduled for December 24 in Hyderabad, according to her family.

A Strategic Wedding Timeline?

The wedding has been planned to accommodate Sindhu's professional commitments. After a challenging year on the court, Sindhu returned to winning ways on December 1, 2024, securing the Syed Modi International women's singles title.

This victory ended her two-year title drought and was a much-needed morale booster ahead of her wedding. With the 2025 BWF World Tour kicking off in January, Sindhu is expected to resume her international badminton campaign soon after her wedding festivities.

Sindhu's Stellar Career

Born on July 5, 1995, PV Sindhu has had an illustrious badminton career, becoming one of India's most celebrated athletes. She clinched the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and followed it up with a bronze at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, making her the only Indian woman to win two Olympic medals. Sindhu's achievements include five BWF World Tour titles.

She also won a gold medal at the 2019 World Championships, and numerous accolades at the Commonwealth Games. However, her 2023 season saw her struggling with form, including multiple early exits. Her victory at the Syed Modi International 2024 marked a significant comeback, reaffirming her focus on achieving greater success in the 2028 Olympics.
