The BCCI in its application has sought for release of funds to conduct the Test match to be held at Rajkot tomorrow. Citing urgency, the BCCI has requested the Supreme Court to hear the matter early.
On October 22, the Supreme Court had ordered the BCCI to completely stop release of funds to member associations, even for hosting cricket matches, until they fell in line and implemented the Justice R M Lodha Panel reforms.
The court had also asked the Lodha panel to appoint an independent auditor to scrutinise the income and expenses of the BCCI.
India and England will play 5 Tests starting from Wednesday.
