2 arrested for cricket satta
Gurgaon, Mar 15 (UNI) The Gurgaon police arrested two men today for betting about Rs 30 lakh in satta over yesterday's world cup cricket match between Kenya and Canada.
A raid on the satta den also yielded four computers, receipts worth Rs 30 lakh, one TV set. The sources said that Rs 10 million rupees was estimated to be on stake for satta in the world cup in Gurgaon alone.
The incident has put the police into a tizzy. The security establishment, according to the sources, has been given unambiguous message to nip the problem in bud.
Coming close on the heels of a satta incident in Delhi last week, the incident has proved true the fears of world cup being turned a betting business.
Aged about 30-35 years, the culprits have been identified as Naresh and Bal Krishna residents of Jyoti Park in Gurgaon.
