ICC is contemplating a change of venues for the upcoming T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy.
The 2024 T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played in West Indies and USA, whereas the 50-over tournament Champions Trophy is scheduled in Pakistan. But according to reports, both tournaments may get shuffled.

West Indies and USA may well be handed the Champions Trophy instead of the T20 World Cup, whereas the Pakistan cricket board may be compensated monetarily for the loss.
As per News18, The notion coming from ICC suggests the 2025 tournament which was scheduled to be in Pakistan will be shifted to the Caribbeans and the 2024 T20 World Cup will then be shifted to Scotland and Ireland.
The report from News18 also confirmed the talks are at a nascent stage and only a verbal discussion has been made so far. The broadcasters for the next ICC media rights have also concurred with the idea and it may well get imposed if things go smoothly.
Ireland and Scotland will be handed the T20 World Cup 2024 as United Kingdom can only host an even in May-June window, which the 2024 tournament is originally scheduled. Both UK countries were scheduled to host the 2030 T20 World Cup but may get fast tracked into hosting the tournament next year only.
