Sunrisers Hyderabad, the record holders for the highest total in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, started from where they left off last season as Ishan Kishan was at the forefront of another batting demolition during SRH intra squad simulation ahead of IPL 2025.
Kishan scored two half-centuries in the same intra-squad practice match simulation on Saturday (March 15) in Hyderabad as the team batting first replicated SRH's form from last season by posting 260.

Kishan, who was bought by Sunrisers at the mega auction for Rs 11.25 Crore, outshone his teammates, including Abhishek Sharma as the wicketkeeper-batter scored a 23-ball 64 followed by a rapid 73-run knock in just 30 balls.
The 26-year-old, who is out of reckoning in the Indian side, opened the innings with Abhishek in the first innings, getting the team of to a fast start in the powerplay. However, Abhishek perished for 28 off just 8 balls.
Despite his opening partner's dismissla, Kishan carried on with his onslaught to complete his half-century before he was dismissed in the 8th over by Kamindu Mendis. In the second innings, Kishan came out to bat once again with Abhishek and pipped his opening partner in terms of runs scored.
With this batting display, SRH showed that they will carry forward their attacking batting display even in the upcoming season of IPL. Abhishek and Travis Head were part of some record-breaking innings last season. And the duo will continue to open once the season begins next week.
While Head and Abhishek will open the batting, SRH have added more fire-power in the form of Ishan Kishan, who is expected to bat at number three with the likes of Heinrich Klaasen, Abhinav Manohar and Nitish Kumar Reddy to follow in the order.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will open their IPL 2025 campaign at home - Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday (March 23) afternoon in the season's first double-header.
He even took Abhishek, who was bowling in the second innings, to the cleaners. Kishan is likely to bat no. 3 for SRH in the upcoming season, with Abhishek to continue his lethal opening partnership with Travis Head.
