2nd One Dayer: Nasir Hossain's all-round show stuns India A

Bengaluru, Sep 18: Nasir Hossain struck a fine century and took five wickets to guide Bangladesh A to a series-levelling 65-run victory over India A at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Friday.

Chasing 253, the Rahul Dravid-coached India A were in control for 27 overs but lost their way as two Hossains shared 9 wickets to stun the hosts.

From 118/1, India A were bowled out for 187 in 42.2 overs. Off-spinner Nasir took 5/36 in 10 overs while Rubel Hossain had figures of 4/33 in 9 overs. Suresh Raina failed again, scoring just 17.

Both Nasir and Rubel have international experience and they used that to good effect today. Nasir has played 17 Tests, 53 ODIs and 27 T20Is for Bangladesh while Rubel has featured in 23 Tests, 67 ODIs and 11 T20Is.

Captain and opener Unmukt Chand top-scored for India A with 56 while the next best came from Manish Pandey with 36.

The 3-match series is now level at 1-1. India A won the opener by 96 runs at the same venue.

Earlier, 23-year-old Nasir's unbeaten 102 rescued Bangladesh A from a precarious 82/5 in 18.1 overs. Thanks to Nasir's 96-ball knock, the visitors managed to cross the 250-run mark. They scored 252/8 in 50 overs.

Paceman Rishi Dhawan was the pick of the bowlers with 3/44 in 10 overs. Last match's bowling hero Gukeerat Singh Mann went wicketless as he conceded 55 runs in 10 overs. Leg-spinner Karn Sharma took 2 wickets for 40 in his 10 overs. Raina had 1 wicket.

The third and final One Dayer is at the same venue on Sunday (September 20).
