The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has excluded at least eight cricketers from the final draft list for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) auction.
The players have been removed due to their involvement in match-fixing activities during the last edition of the tournament.

This decision, based on a report by the BCB's integrity unit led by Alex Marshall, aims to ensure that players identified in the "red flag" zone, as it has been reported by Cricbuzz.
Anamul Haque Bijoy, Mosaddek Hossain, Shofiul Islam, Alauddin Babu, Sunzamul Islam, Mizanur Rahman, Nihaduzzaman, and Munir Hasan Khan, are not part of the player draft to avoid any fixing controversies.
BCB vice-president and BPL governing council member Shakhawat Hossain had earlier emphasized that tainted players would be barred from participation to maintain the tournament's integrity. The move follows an extensive independent investigation revealing several individuals linked to fixing, underlining BCB's commitment to upholding fair play in the league.
"They are omitted from the list as per the report of the integrity unit as they were found in red flag zone and we cannot tell anything further in this regard," a BCB official was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
In the previous BPL season, there were widespread allegations of match fixing across the tournament. Upon those allegations, an independent body was formed to investigate the matter. And it identified around 18 to 19 people involved in various degrees of fixing during the tournament. Among them, eight to ten players were identified. And as a result of that, these players have been omitted from the auction list.
