Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzak has apologised for his recent public comment on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Abdul Razzak recently made an on-air comment on the Indian actress, which has garnered a lot of negative attention in Pakistan. Former Pakistan players have openly criticised Razzak for his words.

While criticising PCB's intentions on an open forum, Razzak casted doubts over the Pakistan Cricket Board and brazenly brought Aishwarya Rai's name in his words.
"Everyone over here is talking about the intention in Pakistan's cricket team. Actually, we don't have good intentions to develop and polish players in Pakistan. If you think that by marrying Aishwarya Rai, a good and pious kid would be wrong, it would never happen," Razzak said during a live show.
Although Shahid Afridi, who was also present in the show, laughed after Razzak's words, former Pakistan player Shoaib Akhtar ripped into Razzak. He openly disregarded Razzak's words and said, "We don't intend to improve and enhance the players, in my opinion. That will never happen if you believe that I will marry Aishwarya (Rai) to have a good-natured and moral child. Therefore, you must first amend your intentions."
Since then, the Pakistan ex-player has been bashed for his disgraceful comments. And after the backlash, Razzak issued an apology.
"I'm Abdul Razzaq...yesterday, during the press conference, we were discussing cricket coaching and intentions. I had a slip of the tongue and mistakenly took Aishwarya Rai's name. I apologize to her personally. I did not intend to hurt anyone. I had to give some other example, but mistakenly used her name," Razzak said in a video released by him.
Abdul Razzak's apology is likely to mitigate the volume of backlash he has been hurled in the past couple of days. Being a public figure, these kinds of cheap comments are least solicited and hopefully, this is the last of such irresponsible incidents.
