Actor, entrepreneur, and cricket enthusiast Abhishek Bachchan received a warm welcome in Dublin as he promoted the European T20 Premier League (ETPL). The ICC-sanctioned league aims to expand cricket's global presence, forming a collaboration between Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands.

The ETPL is scheduled from July 15 to August 3, 2025, and will showcase international cricketing talent, establishing itself as a significant fixture in the T20 calendar.

Celebrating Cricket in Europe

Dublin and Rotterdam will serve as host cities for the league's inaugural season, bringing together fans from across Europe. With teams from cities including Dublin, Belfast, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, the ETPL will offer a competitive mix of global cricketing stars and local talent.

During his promotional visit, Bachchan embraced Ireland's vibrant St. Patrick's Day celebrations, receiving enthusiastic support from fans and the Indian diaspora. His visit to the Indian Embassy in Dublin was marked by a warm reception from Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra.

Bachchan and his fellow ETPL co-owners, Priyanka Kaul and Saurav Banerjee, were honored with a traditional shamrock presentation by Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom and Irish cricket legend Kevin O'Brien. This symbolic act underscored the league's mission to promote cultural exchange and strengthen cricket's presence in Europe.
