Varun Chakaravarthy also climbed to the second position in the bowling rankings, rising three spots. His consistent performance, claiming two wickets each in the final two games of the series, contributed to his tally of 14 wickets. He now shares the second position with England's Adil Rashid, who slipped behind Akeal Hosein after previously topping the charts.

England's Harry Brook advanced three places to 42nd following his 51-run knock in the fourth T20I held in Pune. Among other Indian batters, Hardik Pandya (up five places to 51st), Rinku Singh (up five places to 55th), and Shivam Dube (up 38 spots to 58th) showcased notable gains. England's Ben Duckett also progressed, climbing six places to 62nd.

In the bowling department, India's Ravi Bishnoi jumped from 10th to 6th after taking four wickets in the last two matches. England pacer Saqib Mahmood surged 28 places to 57th, thanks to his 3/35 performance in the fourth game. Teammates Mark Wood and Brydon Carse also improved, moving up nine and 62 spots to 60th and 66th positions, respectively.

Switching to Test rankings, Australia's Steve Smith ascended three spots to 5th following his century (141 runs) in the Galle Test, where Australia triumphed over Sri Lanka by an innings and 242 runs. Usman Khawaja, named Player of the Match for his double-century (242 runs), climbed six positions to 11th, while debutant Josh Inglis entered the rankings at 80th after scoring a century.

Australian bowlers also made notable progress. Nathan Lyon rose to sixth with 795 rating points, just shy of his career-best. Mitchell Starc climbed two spots to 12th, while Matthew Kuhnemann and Todd Murphy re-entered the rankings at 54th and 66th places, respectively.
