Afghanistan created history in the T20 World Cup after qualifying for the semifinals following a victory over Bangladesh on Tuesday (June 25).
The Afghans pulled off a stellar victory by 8 runs to secure their berth in the semifinal and now will take on South Africa. They also eliminated Australia in the process.

It was a magical night in Kingstown and the world witnessed an enthralling encounter. Afghanistan posted 115 runs after batting first and bundled out Bangladesh for just 105 runs (DLS target was 114).
But amid the historical win, a piece of theatrics on the field has been the talk of social media.
It happened just before one of the rain interruptions, when Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib suddenly fell down with a cramp. In the 12th over of the match, the rain was about to pause to a halt in the match.
Afghanistan was just ahead in the DLS score and their coach Jonathan Trott instructed them to slow the pace of the game. As Noor Ahmad was about to bowl, Gulbadin Naib suddenly fell down at first slip with a cramp. Although he tried to make it look genuine, the fans and the experts had an idea of the reason for his sudden distress.
The commentators made a hilarious assessment mostly while some also accused Naib for breaking the spirit of the game. After the resumption, Naib miraculously recovered and bowled, and got wickets as well!
He was also seen running very fast without any distress after Afghanistan's victory.
Ravichandran Ashwin hilariously said that Naib must be given a Red Card.
Cricket expert Joy Bhattacharya also took to X and said it was the worst piece of acting he has ever seen.
Commentator Ian Smith wants to consult with Gulbadin Naib for his bad knee now!
"I've a dodgy knee for the last 6 months, I am gonna see Gulbadin Naib's doctor straight after the game. He's the 8th wonder of the world right now," the Kiwi commentator said.
